Goodbye 2007 Welcome 2008!

Time flies! And we have reached the end of 2007.

Perhaps it's a good time to look back and reflect on what have I done in 2007.

Work

Well, despite a few hiccups, it has been good all year round. It has been a learning year for me. Finding my feet in my area of work. Went for 2 Oversea Trips to the US. One for training, one for conference. I really couldn't ask for more. The work and life is very well-balanced as usual. Overall, it has been a good workyear for me.

Rest and Relax

I must say that I have been travelling alot since I graduated. Year 2007 is no exception. Come to think of it, I almost spent at least a weekend oversea every month. I have my mandatory and fun-filled diving trips to the Malaysian islands. This year I visited Pulau Tenggol over the Good Friday. I have a leisure dive at Pulau Dayang. I went abit further to Thailand to dive in Krabi. And I am going to the Similans Island in 4 days' time. Looking forward to it!

 Boulder, Colorado and Taichung/Taipei , 5 Aug-16 Aug 2007

I flew off to US for a week of training for a specialised software for my project. Just came back last Thursday. It's my first trip to US. Quite mountain tortoise siah.. Took SQ flights to Los Angeles Airport then took a internal flight to Denver where we took a taxi to Boulder , Colorado. We reached our hotel at Monday morning 3am and slept for couple of hours before heading to our training location. First time experiencing jetlag. The feeling is like that where you have just completed a few rounds of mahjong overnight.. Totally zonked out.  But then after the class, somehow we still manage to go shopping haha.. Boulder is a beautiful town, Very green. No pollution. About 5000 feets above sea level, very close to the mountain range. The view is scenic. I could live there forever ! haha. Alot of cyclists , runners. Heard that the world's best cyclist lives here! Good training area I supposed. Lotsa bike tracks.

Left Boulder on Saturday afternoon. Reached Los Angeles Airport  in the evening but was delayed at the airport. Los Angeles Airport immigration system failure causing the whole airport to be packed with passengers waiting to fly off.

Reached Taipei on Monday morning then went straight to Taoyuan Station to take the High Speed Rail to Taichung. Will be there for 2 days.  Went to Sun Moon Lake but weather was quite bad so the scenery wasn't very good. Then we travel back to Taipei on Wednesday.. Went to Dam Sui then Xin Beitou for some hot spring to relax ourselves .

Overall, it was really a great experience for me! First time taking long flights to US.On hindsight, we should have stayed in LA for a few days instead of Taipei. I prefer Boulder(nice peaceful town) to Taiwan, really.

Might be flying to New York in October for a conference. Keeping my finger crossed.. This time round, I will stay a couple of days in New York! With my colleagues.

Long long time never blog liao.. wahaha

I am in Boulder, Colorado at this point of time. Just touched down yesterday early morning.. Now it's about 930pm here.. 1124am Singapore time. First time travelling so far out to the US. All in all . 24 hours of travelling including connection flight times and flight delays. Sleep at 5am.. woke up 730am then went to attend the first day of course. Breakfast was complimentary for our stay here.. Then today lunch is on the manager of the software company.  Had lunch at a very authentic place in Dushanbe Teahouse.  Today's training is from 845am to 1645pm. Waited for taxi which never came. So the manager Anna decided to give us a lifr to Target. For some shopping. We had dinner at the noodles place called  noodles&co. I had pad thai with chicken breast and Caesar salad. Not bad..

SONG OF THE MOMENT

Would you be there -Redwan Ali

If I were blue, would you be there for me,
And whisper in my ears that's ok.
Would you stand by me, let me hold you tight,
And say you love me one more time.

If I feel good would you slow dance with me
And touch my lips with tender loving care
Would you die for me would you run with me
And never look back

Would you be there to love to be with me
Would you swear that your love is always true
Would you say that you'll always be the one
To take my breath away

Would you be there to love to be with me
Would you swear that your love is always true
Would you say that you'll always be the one
To take my breath away
Would you be there

If I'm away would you still think of me
And wish that you could hold me now (Hold me now)
Would you die for me would you run with me
All the way

Would you be there to love to be with me
Would you swear that your love is always true
Would you say that you'll always be the one
To take my breath away

Would you be there to save my soul tonight (Save my soul tonight)
Would you swear that your love is always true
Would you say that you'll always be there
To kiss my pain away

Would you be there to love to be with me
Would you swear that your love is always true
Would you say that you'll always be the one
To take my breath away

Would you be there to save my soul tonight (Save my soul tonight)
Would you swear that your love is always true
Would you say that you'll always be there
To kiss my pain away

Would you be there
For me
